Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell is expected to be back on the court Thursday for the team’s final game.
Russell has been out since Nov. 20 with a torn meniscus in his right knee.
He missed the first four games of the season due to the injury.
He is expected back Thursday night when the Lakers host the Houston Rockets.
Russell, who turns 28 in February, was averaging 9.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a rookie.
Russell said he is hopeful to play Thursday night.
He also said he hopes to be able to help the Lakers in their first Super Bowl appearance since 2000.
