The Cubs lost their second game of the NLDS on Sunday with an 8-2 defeat at Milwaukee.

Chicago is now 2-0 since the All-Star break with a record of 6-1.

But the Cubs are not done yet.

They are scheduled to face the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Wild Card Game on Monday.

This game will likely be the final one of the series.

It is a pivotal matchup as the Cubs try to secure their second straight postseason berth.

The Cardinals won their first game of this series with a 3-2 victory on Tuesday.

The Cubs will need to go 3-0 against the Cardinals to get into the NL wild card game.

The last time the Cubs faced the Cardinals was in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2019.

Chicago had a 6-3 record against the Cards.

Chicago is 8-1 against St. Lucie since the break.

The first game in the series was played at Wrigley Field on July 8, 2019.

It was the last time that the Cubs won the NL Central.

The Brewers won Game 1 on Saturday, July 10.

Milwaukee won Game 2 on Sunday and then clinched a spot in the World Series on Monday with a 4-2 win.

Chicago has won eight straight games against Milwaukee and is 8 1/2 games out of first place.

The Milwaukee Brewers are 5-3 against the Cubs and have won five of their past six games.

The last time Chicago lost to Milwaukee was in 2016.

The Chicago Cubs beat the St Louis Cardinals, 5-4, in the regular season and advanced to the World Cup of Baseball.
